Julia sat in my office retelling the story in which she totally lost her $#^^ with her girlfriend which was the final straw in their relationship. She had come to therapy to stop being angry after an incident in which she confronted her girlfriend very loudly at her workplace. Her goals were to repair the damage her anger had done the the relationship. Those goals weren’t realized.
Sadly Julia wasn’t able to learn what how to stop her anger in time to save her relationship. She did learn and as a result when she ended therapy she was in a much better place to have a healthier and happier relationship in the future.
